ACFN

People of the land of the willow

Traditionally known as the K'ai Tailé Déne — people of the land of the willow — the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation (ACFN) is an Indigenous Nation of about 1,200 people, occupying territories in and around Fort Chipewyan, Alberta. From hunting and trapping to fishing and gathering, its people have a deep connection with the rich, vast landscapes of the Peace-Athabasca Delta — lands they have traditionally survived on and connected with for thousands of years.

Trait was honoured to help ACFN create a robust website, customized to the Nation’s unique requirements. Our goal was to tell the beautiful story of the Nation, its people and its breathtaking lands, while connecting Members near and far and being a helpful tool and resource. The website features stories, news, events, Member and Employee portals, online ordering for the K’ai Tailé Market and much more.
