At Trait, we’re fortunate to work with some of the most inspiring founders in business—and Steve Myers, Owner of Acresa, is a standout example of leadership rooted in deep knowledge, hard work and genuine care for his team. 

A dedicated grain farmer with a degree in agronomy and over a decade of experience in drilling waste and environmental management, Steve’s understanding of land, chemicals and compliance is second to none. His career has spanned government regulation, oil and gas field operations, surface land work and service coordination. That hands-on experience gave him a unique vantage point, and in 2012, he put that knowledge into action—launching what would become a game-changer in the vegetation control industry. 

Originally known as Green Acres Consulting, Steve founded the company to provide high-quality vegetation control and environmental management services for industrial and commercial clients. Backed by the latest PureAim technology and rigorous safety protocols, Acresa has quickly built a reputation for clean and compliant sites. Today, it’s a fast-growing force in the sector—and Trait has had the privilege of partnering with Steve to support that growth. 

A full rebrand for a company on the rise 

Steve came to us looking for a brand that matched his company’s capabilities: forward-thinking, professional and ready to scale. The name “Green Acres” no longer reflected the sophisticated, high-tech services his team was delivering. That’s where Trait came in.

Many are excited by the learning opportunities Acresa offers, particularly those pursuing agricultural studies who find the experience a valuable supplement to their education. They appreciate the equipment, the safety standards, and yes, even the hot suppers after long days in the field. Several employees noted they’d return for year-round work if given the chance. 

It’s not easy work—but it’s meaningful, and they feel appreciated for doing it. That’s a testament to Steve’s leadership.
